Christian Children in City Slums
Children in the third world countries which Sri Lanka belongs to can be categorized into three classes. The Upper(8%0), middle (30%), and lower class(62%). Poorest of the poor is netted in the lower class where sufficient food,clothing,education and health care is scarce.It is not their fault.But inequality that prevails in income levels in each category.
This is specific in City Slums and to some extend in the rural areas where earning capacity of family unit is very low.At times there is no bread winner in the family.Earnings is by finding odd jobs daily.There is no permanent source of income in the family.
Guide the Children in Right Direction
As true followers of Christ it is our bounden duty to help and support these children of God to lead a spiritual life and become worthy citizens to society.We may help these children through their parents.If parents are not there children can be attached to an Orphanage and assist Rev. Sisters running the home.
Children should be Baptized and brought up in Christian environment.
It is easy to mauled the children at their tender age.
